How to Rob in Jailbreak
Heist steps, loot rules, and where to cash in without feeding the cops.
Robberies are how criminals fund cars, guns, safes, and season progress in Jailbreak. This guide walks the major heists players search for—Bank, Jewelry Store, Museum, Donut Shop, Power Plant, Crown Jewel, Mansion, and trains—plus the cash-in rules that actually bank your bag.
Escape first with Escape Prison. If you are brand new, pair this page with Getting Started. For rotations and contracts, continue to Money Making For the boss heist read Mansion; for paint drops see HyperChrome..
Cash-in rules you must know
Loot is not yours until a valid turn-in completes.
- Jewelry Store → fastest cash-in at the Rising City criminal base (zipline/adjacent path). Volcano works if city base is camped.
- Museum, Power Plant, Crown Jewel, and several moving heists → deliver to the Volcano Criminal Base collector.
- Small stores often pay on completion or short local turn-ins—still clear the area before celebrating.
Never cruise AFK with a full bag. Arrests and deaths waste the hardest part of the run.
Donut Shop (beginner)
The Donut Shop is the on-ramp robbery: short interior, low mechanical skill, quick payout. Use it to learn store alarms, exit angles, and nearby road escapes. It is also a landmark for The Hunt NPC KreekCraft, so you will visit this building during events even if you are not grinding cash.
Open → grab → leave. Do not tunnel-vision if a SWAT team parks outside; abort and rotate.
Jewelry Store (core Rising City loop)
Jewelry teaches movement under lasers and is the best early farm.
- Break display cases (punch / interact per platform).
- Climb upper floors while dodging laser grids.
- Fill the duffel; bigger bag gamepasses raise caps.
- Exit via roof planks, jumps, or the zipline toward Rising City criminal base.
- Cash in at Rising City base, or divert to Volcano if cops stack the city entrance.
VIP and duffel upgrades raise totals, but raw consistency beats waiting for perfect perks. Jewelry pairs naturally with Bank or Museum when those buildings open.
Rising City Bank (the only bank)
Crater City Bank is removed (destroyed with Crater City in the 2026 Live Event). The Rising City Bank is now the bank robbery on the map—older vault floors were folded back into this building. It still needs a keycard to enter properly. Pickpocket cops at Prison or city, then:
- Open the keycard door.
- Navigate the randomized vault layout (lasers, ramps, bombs on vault doors).
- Stand in safe pockets when charges blow—wrong corners launch you into hazards.
- Fill from the vault stream, then leave through planned exits (card door if still available, or alternate blast routes).
Banks pay well but attract campers. Scout exits before you commit to the vault timer. Ignore outdated guides that still tell you to drive to Crater for a second bank.
Museum (two-player)
Museum requires two criminals to start properly: both place dynamite on the roof wires, blow an entry hole, then loot heavy artifacts.
- Each item adds bag weight; overweight players cannot use items until cash-in.
- Default bags carry less than upgraded duffels—plan trips.
- Escape the gallery, then drive to Volcano collector.
- Assist payouts can reward helpers even when they are not the main carrier.
Museum resets relatively often compared with some heists, making it excellent duo content. Find partners via the Players hub when you want consistent Museum runs.
Power Plant (puzzle + speed)
Power Plant is a timed puzzle heist:
- Travel to the plant (minimap icon / light-bulb style marker).
- Hack the electrical flow / line puzzles on the computers.
- Ride conveyors, avoid damaging wires, and grab uranium value.
- Race to the Volcano collector—faster clears pay better.
Bring a helicopter or fast car staged at the exit. Power Plant punishes slow drivers more than slow shooters.
Crown Jewel (code + vault)
Crown Jewel is a high-attention Crater-side heist:
- When it opens, find the 4-digit code (often near desks / interior clues).
- Enter the keypad door, call the elevator to VAULT.
- Weave moving lasers, crack vault dials when indicators flash correctly.
- Loot main and side vaults.
- Deliver to the Volcano collector.
If the timer expires you may teleport out while keeping collected money—still finish the collector trip. Practice laser patience; greed wipes runs.
Mansion
The Mansion is a large interior robbery with room-to-room looting and higher heat once alarms trip. Clear wings methodically, watch for police drops on long driveways, and leave with a planned vehicle facing the exit road. Treat it as a mid-game heist after Jewelry comfort. After big payouts, park surplus into cars and safes via Money Making rather than flexing on the driveway.
Trains (passenger and cargo)
Passenger and Cargo trains are moving robberies:
- Board when the train is accessible on its route.
- Clear cars / cargo interactions quickly.
- Expect police to chase along tracks and bridges.
- Many train payouts expect Volcano style turn-ins or completion rules—confirm the on-screen collector prompt.
Trains reward map knowledge and driving lines under bridges. If your car is slow, skip cargo plane-tier chases until you own a stronger vehicle from the Tier List.
Suggested beginner rotation
- Escape Prison.
- Donut or Jewelry.
- Cash in Rising City base.
- Bank if you have a keycard and it is open.
- Museum with a duo → Volcano.
- Power Plant or train if still free → Volcano.
Stop to redeem Codes when you pass Train Station ATMs, and fold season contracts into the same loop.
Heist hygiene
- Check open/closed status before driving across the map.
- Stage a getaway vehicle facing out.
- Drop unnecessary tools that block bag use when weight is high.
- Do not flex on voice chat outside the base entrance.
- After big payouts, garage your cash into cars and safes—see Money Making.
Master Jewelry and Volcano driving first. Every other robbery is a variation on enter → solve → leave → collector.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for Jailbreak players.
Where do I cash in Jewelry Store money?
Prefer the Rising City criminal base next to Jewelry. Use Volcano if police camp the city base.
Which robberies require the Volcano collector?
Museum, Power Plant, Crown Jewel, and several train/moving heists expect Volcano turn-ins. Always follow the in-game collector prompt.
Do I need a keycard for the Bank?
Yes. Pickpocket police, then open Rising City Bank’s keycard entrance. Crater City Bank is removed—Rising City is the only bank robbery.
Why won’t Museum start for me solo?
Museum needs two players to place roof dynamite. Duo up, then loot and deliver to Volcano.
What robbery should beginners learn first?
Donut Shop for safety, then Jewelry Store for real cash. Read Getting Started if you still need an escape plan.
How do robberies tie into seasons?
Stack heist actions with contracts for XP. See Money Making and Season 33.
