Jailbreak Police Guide Arrest Tips

Playing Police in Jailbreak is a different skill tree from criminal grinding: you hunt guilty prisoners and escaped criminals, defend heists, and convert arrests into bounty cash plus season XP. This guide focuses on the taser → cuff combo, road spikes, the three main stations (Prison, Rising City, Crown City), helicopter plays, and contract habits that keep cop sessions productive.

New accounts should still skim Getting Started for the overall loop. Remap binds on Controls if default taser/cuff slots fight your fingers. Season goals live on Season 33. Criminal counter-play is covered in Escape Prison and How to Rob—know both sides.

Core loop: taser, then cuff

Handcuffs only work at near-touch range. Sprinting criminals will outrun a naked cuff attempt every time.

  1. Spot a guilty target (escaped criminal, pickpocket, weapons, unauthorized zones).
  2. Land a Taser shot to ragdoll them and unequip their held item.
  3. Close the gap during the stun window.
  4. Equip Handcuffs and finish the arrest.

Missed tasers recharge faster than successful hits, so take the shot when you have a clean angle—but do not spam into cover forever. If the target is far after a stun, chip health with pistol/shotgun while they are down; lower HP slows foot speed and makes the next cuff trivial.

Innocent prisoners cannot be tased for free—learn guilt rules so you do not rack wrongful-arrest penalties. Guilty checks include pickpocketing, carrying restricted items, damaging players, hitting the power box, or entering forbidden areas like stations.

Road spikes for vehicle chases

Every officer spawns with Road Spikes. Place one strip at a time across tunnels, bridge mouths, Jewelry exits, and Bank driveway lines. Vehicles that hit the strip pop tires and stall long enough for a taser. Spikes also skim a slice of the driver’s bounty for the placer.

Tips:

  • Pre-place spikes on predicted escape roads before the robbery alarm, not after the Camaro is already past you.
  • Red placement previews mean the strip is invalid—shorten or reposition.
  • Aerial vehicles need to fly low to trigger spikes; do not expect miracles against high helis.
  • Contracts often ask you to disable several vehicles with spikes—stack those while camping Jewelry.

Police stations to know

Prison Police Station

Main spawn beside the Visitors area. Armory for attire, pistol, shotgun, and SWAT gear if you own the pass. Helipads for Helicopter / Little Bird style air spawns. Keycard doors keep criminals out—expect pickpockets near the yard. Best for early-game cell patrols and catching fresh escapes.

Rising City Police Station

City-side spawn with bounty board, baton, Interrogator/Camaro ground options, and an aerial pad. Ideal when Jewelry and Bank are the active criminal magnets. Stake the Jewelry zipline and Bank front door from here instead of random highway patrols.

Crown City Police Station

Northern station that replaced older Crater-side presence after the 2026 live map change. Use it when Crown Jewel and north-map robberies are hot. Pair with Military Base / outpost knowledge when criminals flee into rural roads.

Claimed houses or penthouses can also act as personal spawns—handy mid-chase.

Helicopter and air control

Air vehicles let you drop on Volcano collectors, Cargo Plane paths, and train bridges. Hover above exits, spotlight runners, then land for the taser. Landing a heli across a narrow road creates a soft roadblock criminals must swerve around. Do not ram recklessly into power lines; a crashed heli is a free window for the bag carrier.

For The Hunt style rescues and event chores, Police + heli often clears map NPCs faster than criminal ground cars.

Contracts and season XP on cop

Season boards love arrest counts, spike disables, drive distance, and “play as Police” minutes. Claim contracts before a patrol block so every cuff pays XP. Season 33 still runs on that contract economy—finish levels while the pass window is live.

Efficient pairing:

  • Spike contract + Jewelry stakeout.
  • Arrest contract + Bank door camp.
  • Drive distance + heli transit between Prison and Rising City.
  • Swap to criminal only when a contract truly requires robberies, then return.

Loadout and map habits

  • Default kit: Taser, Cuffs, Spikes, Pistol. Add shotgun/rifle from armories when sieging groups.
  • SWAT phone / attire (gamepass) helps coordinated raids.
  • Bounty board at Rising City helps prioritize high-value targets.
  • Do not tunnel after one Roadster across the entire map while Jewelry is being emptied behind you.
  • Communicate with other cops if voice/chat is available—crossfires beat solo hero plays.

Countering common criminal tricks

  • Keycard Bank runners: hold the card door and vault exits; read Keycard so you know how they obtained entry.
  • Museum duos: you cannot always enter the heist volume—catch them on the Volcano road instead.
  • Spike awareness: criminals may jump curbs; place strips where alternate lines still funnel.
  • Trade island is off-limits for arrests—do not waste time chasing rumors there; see Trading Island.

Session templates

20-minute arrest farm: Spawn Rising City → spike Jewelry exits → taser cuff runners → refresh spikes → claim contracts.
45-minute air patrol: Prison heli → scan trains/plane → drop on Volcano road → restock at Crown City.
Event block: Finish Hunt objectives on Police, then swap criminal for cash—see Money Making.

Police mastery is timing and positioning, not raw fire rate. Taser first, cuff second, spike the roads criminals already chose, and rotate stations with the robbery board. When Season 33 contracts demand arrests, this page is your checklist—remap anything awkward in Controls and keep practicing the stun window until it is muscle memory.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for Jailbreak players.

Should I cuff before using the taser?

No. Taser first to stun, then close in and cuff. Cuffs need near-touch range.

Where do police spawn in Jailbreak?

Main stations are Prison, Rising City, and Crown City, plus Military Base / claimed homes in some cases.

How do road spikes help arrests?

Place one strip to pop tires on escape roads. Disable the car, then taser and cuff the driver.

Do police contracts count for seasons?

Yes. Arrest, spike, and patrol contracts grant season XP—claim them before grinding. See Season 33.

When should I use a helicopter as police?

For Volcano roads, trains, Cargo Plane intercepts, and fast station rotations—then land for the taser cuff.

Can I arrest players on Trading Island?

No. Trading Island disables arrests and damage. Focus main-map robberies instead.
