Jailbreak Hyperchrome Guide
Bonus roulette odds, color routes, pity, and HyperShift grinding tips.
Hyperchromes are Jailbreak’s flashiest vehicle customization drops—shiny reflective colors that level from 1 to 5 when you keep rolling the same hue. They come exclusively from the Robbery Bonus Rewards roulette after you finish eligible heists. This guide explains how the roll works, which robbery feeds which color, how pity protects long grinds, why public servers beat private lobbies, and how HyperShift unlocks when you own every Level 5.
Pair this page with How to Rob for heist steps, Money Making for cash loops that fund vehicles, Mansion for the special 0.2% Hyper roll, and Trading Island when you buy or sell colors. Find grind partners on Players.
What the bonus roulette is
After a successful robbery cash-in or completion, Jailbreak can spin a bonus reward wheel. Common and rare prizes include cash, rocket fuel, and cosmetics. The ultra chase prize on most major heists is a Hyperchrome of that robbery’s color.
Small stores (Donut, Gas, Grocery), Cargo Ship, Bank Truck, and Oil Rig do not award Hyperchromes on their normal tables. Focus your Hyper farm on Bank, Jewelry, Museum, Power Plant, Cargo Plane, trains, Crown Jewel, Tomb, and Mansion.
Your first successful Hyper of a color starts at Level 1. Extra rolls of the same color level it toward Level 5. At Level 5 that color is maxed; further rolls of that hue instead progress another of your Hypers according to the game’s priority rules.
Color → robbery map
Memorize this map before you hop servers:
| Color | Robbery |
|---|---|
| Green | Rising City Bank |
| Diamond | Jewelry Store |
| Orange | Museum |
| Purple | Power Plant |
| Blue | Cargo Plane |
| Yellow | Passenger / Cargo Trains |
| Pink | Crown Jewel |
| Red | Tomb |
Grind the heist that matches the color you want. Jewelry and Bank Hypers feel “easier” because those buildings reopen often and cash-ins are short. Cargo Plane Blue feels brutal because the plane arrives less frequently—plan sessions around airport windows. Museum Orange needs a duo for dynamite entry; stack it with Power Plant when both are open in the south.
Pity explained (not your luck %)
The percentage under the Hyper UI is pity progress toward a guaranteed level-up, not your per-roll chance. Base luck starts well under 1% and gets worse as levels climb. Approximate public-server baselines:
| Target level | Approx. chance | Pity threshold |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | ~1/179 (~0.56%) | 224 |
| 2 | ~1/378 (~0.27%) | 473 |
| 3 | ~1/608 (~0.17%) | 760 |
| 4 | ~1/696 (~0.14%) | 870 |
| 5 | ~1/1068 (~0.09%) | 1335 |
Small servers (about 1–8 players) and private servers use worse odds and higher pity (for example Level 1 pity ~340). Trading a Hyperchrome does not reset pity on that color—your grind meter stays.
Practical takeaway: fill servers, keep robbery variety so other players close buildings you skip, and do not “AFK pity farm” in empty privates unless you accept the slower math.
Mansion’s fixed 0.2% Hyper roll
Mansion uses a separate bonus table. Hyper upgrades there are locked at roughly 0.2% regardless of level—better than late-level public odds on normal heists (especially toward L4–L5). Add Mansion to routes when you hold invitations and the 6 PM window is open. Full invite and boss steps live on Mansion.
HyperShift = all eight Level 5s
Own every color at Level 5 and you unlock HyperShift—an animated color that cycles through the Hyper palette. HyperShift itself is non-tradable. If you trade away any Level 5 Hyper, you lose HyperShift until you restore the full set. The only way to “move” HyperShift value is trading the complete Level 5 collection.
Values swing with the trading market; check community lists before dumping a L5 for cash cars. Fair-trade habits are covered on Trading Island.
Vehicles and routes that speed the grind
Hyper farming is a throughput problem: more completed eligible robberies per hour beats lucky one-offs.
- Volt and Roadster-class speed cars cut Jewelry ↔ Bank ↔ Museum travel time.
- Helicopters help Power Plant exits, Tomb approaches, and Cargo Plane intercepts.
- Stage getaways facing exits so you never reverse into a SWAT pile after a Hyper-eligible clear.
- Prefer populated public servers so closed robberies reopen and pity odds stay on the better table.
- Stack season contracts while you Hyper grind so XP is not wasted—see Money Making and Season 33.
Suggested variety loops:
- Jewelry (Diamond) → Bank if keyed (Green) → cash-in Rising City.
- Museum duo (Orange) → Power Plant (Purple) → Volcano.
- Train hop (Yellow) when schedules line up.
- Cargo Plane (Blue) whenever it lands—do not force it every minute.
- Crown Jewel (Pink) / Tomb (Red) when open and your loadout is ready.
- Mansion (0.2% Hyper) with invites during night hours.
Hopping (one robbery type across many servers) can work for rare buildings like Plane, but variety in a healthy public lobby usually prints more rolls with less queue pain.
Trading Hypers without tilting
Low-level Hypers are common; Level 4–5 sets carry real demand. Never accept “trust trade” DMs, fake value lists, or middleman links outside the official island. Confirm item names and levels in the trade window twice. Cross-check priorities on the Tier List when someone wants your Hyper plus a limited car for “fair” filler.
Mistakes that waste weeks
- Grinding Blues only in empty privates.
- Ignoring pity while panic-hopping every two minutes.
- Skipping Mansion when you already hold invites and need late levels.
- Trading your only L5 of a color without understanding HyperShift loss.
- Buying mid cars instead of Volt/Roadster mobility that multiplies rolls per hour.
Hyperchromes reward patience plus smart server choice. Learn the color map, respect pity math, farm public lobbies, add Mansion for late levels, and chase HyperShift only when you are ready to lock all eight Level 5s. For heist mechanics themselves, return to How to Rob; for cash to fund the grind, stay on Money Making.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for Jailbreak players.
Which robbery gives which Hyperchrome color?
Bank green, Jewelry diamond, Museum orange, Power Plant purple, Cargo Plane blue, trains yellow, Crown Jewel pink, Tomb red.
What does Hyperchrome pity mean?
Pity is progress toward a guaranteed Hyper level-up, not your per-roll luck percent. Small/private servers need more robberies.
How do I get HyperShift?
Own all eight Hyperchrome colors at Level 5. HyperShift is non-tradable and drops if you lose any L5.
Is Mansion better for Hyperchromes?
Mansion locks Hyper upgrades at about 0.2% regardless of level—strong for late L4–L5. See Mansion.
Should I grind Hypers in private servers?
Usually no. Public/populated servers have better odds and lower pity thresholds than small or private lobbies.
Where can I trade Hyperchromes safely?
Only on Trading Island. Confirm levels twice and refuse off-platform middlemen.
